With the basement poured we’re waiting on the concrete panels. They should arrive next Wednesday.

In the meantime, we’re on the lookout for honest, quality subcontractors and suppliers in the Utah County area, who would like to bid for remaining work on the house. We’ll be making a short list of a few we’d like to interview. In particular, we are interested in:

Todd McHargue is great for cabinets. His workshop is in Springville. I’ve heard of many people who’ve been happy with his work. Let me know if you need me to look up his contact info.

Alison,

I highly recommend you at least consider/check references of subs that work for the GC you’ve chosen. Trust me when I say the job will run SO MUCH better if these are all trades that have worked together before.

There are so many pieces to building a house. I don’t know how you do it with your family. Good luck!
