motion sensing security lights Motion Sensing Security Lights InstalledWe chose the Heath Zenith Motion-Sensing Light for part of our security package.

These lights are fairly unobtrusive — as far as security lights go. They are compact and match the soffit and facia. Features include:

  • 250-watt single-light halogen
  • 180-degree motion sensing
  • Energy-Star rated
  • Heavy-duty die-cast metal
  • Manual override from an indoor switch

The lights are up. They look good and are an added measure of protection from intruders.

Hey Alison, I guess you’ll be saving on energy with these lights too since they don’t stay on all night. Do you have the ability to program the length of time they stay on?

Ileane, they are pretty nice because they only come on when needed, that is, when someone is stalking around. Yes, you can program the length they stay on. You can choose one minute, five minutes, or twenty minutes. They also have a testing mode. The detection distance is also programmable, up to 70 feet away. :)
