Moving to the Rental

moving Moving to the RentalMoving stinks. Seriously. It never ends. As soon as you think you’re done, you find entire rooms you never knew existed that are full to the brim with furniture and things that you can’t categorized.

Not to mention things you can’t pack. How do you pack a telescope? Or a geranium?

And this isn’t even our first day of moving. On Tuesday we popped $600 having the movers take an enormous amount of our stuff to a storage unit. Today, they’re just packing the stuff we are taking to the new squeeze.

The second very large truck is almost full. I’ll be heading out soon. Sam is at the new house getting Utopia wired. I’m going on 36 hours with less than three hours of sleep, so I’m not completely coherent. I need a shower and then a serious crash. Tomorrow, it’s back here to pack up the computers, the food, the odds and ends and to clean.

But then the fun starts. We’ll actually be living in our new neighborhood. Woot!

Moving is a pain, but you are one step closer to your new home. That’s a good thing!

I agree ‘Moving Stinks’ when you do all by yourself. Relocation Services are like something of which we are in extreme need, these services will actually lower down the burden to packing and transporting the stuff.
Relocation services these days are so organised that people do not even feel that they have changed their home.
