Third Cement Pour in Walls

cement pour 3 Third Cement Pour in WallsThe construction has been going very smoothly. The first wall section had cut panels that exposed the areas inside at corners. Before each pour, these areas had to be covered with plywood that was wired onto the panel to hold the cement inside.

Subsequent sections have been done with mitered corners. It’s not only much easier, but much stronger and less prone to blowouts. Brad’s crew hasn’t had any blowout problems to date.

The electrician showed up early to finish up the last items, like the exterior intercom boxes. Thank you!

Yesterday the third cement pour was completed. The walls are now halfway up the main floor. The plan is to complete the last concrete panel sections this week, with the final pour on Monday.

It looks like quite the project you have going on. I’d be nervous if I had to work with cement, but I guess it doesn’t dry that fast, haha.
